DAVID WILKERSON: Do Sandwiches make him a True Prophet?

(NOTE: My title does not declare him to be a true OR false prophet. We must all consult the Biblical standards for a prophet to judge any person as a prophet.)

This is not prophecy, but before I even post this I know that you are likely here because you're trying to seek counsel on whether to heed David Wilkerson's prophecy of impending doom. Hundreds of people (like you, reader) are right now asking Google (rather than God's Word) if, since David Wilkerson made sandwiches before 9-11-01, he's a true prophet of God!~

Folks... Why are you being so lazy when something like a pending "Great Calamity" is at stake? Do you have a Bible? What do you use it for if you don't use it to answer questions like these?

In EVERY situation (that doesn't have to do with an online iPod purchase or finding a great tuna recipe) go to the Bible BEFORE you go to Google!

In fact, RIGHT NOW,...RUN!...before it is too late - to the Bible! I say this prophetically, as a "Word from God" with all sincerity! (See Romans 2:5; 2:16, II Corinthians 6:1-2... then keep reading from there.)

Are you about to have a heart attack?!! WHO KNOWS? Is the roof you are under going to cave in on you? MAYBE, MAYBE NOT! Will the very chair are sitting in today KILL YOU? If any of the above were to happen, 30 days of food wouldn't help you. If any of the above DON'T happen right now, you are still living in imminent danger if you are not in Christ. If you ARE in Christ, you don't have to fear any of the above, including David Wilkerson's "Urgent Warning"!

In the Bible, you may find that there's a bigger issue than any prophesied Judgment of God toward the USA: Namely the Judgment of God toward you personally. If you are not ABSOLUTELY SURE of your relationship with Him, please GO HERE or HERE If you still haven't run away to read His Word, read my prior commentary on this subject... but you HAVE to go to the Bible sometime.

Here's Jon Sharp's Boiled Down Version™ preview of what the Bible says about your TWO POSSIBLE ENDS...

OUT OF CHRIST = Sure judgment, wrath and eternal suffering.
IN CHRIST = Sure, eternal salvation with peace and provision THROUGH your promised earthly trials, tribulations, persecutions and death.

Now go get a sandwich and read your Bible.

"We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts..." - 2 Peter 1:19

I believe we need to stick to the things that have been affirmed, rather that the things that leave us baffled. The Bible said that in the last days perilous times will come. People out to fear God - He is greater than any disaster we may face in this life.

Which 'report' will you believe?

Numbers 13:31-33 But the men who had gone up with him said, "We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are." 32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. 33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them."

Remember what happened to the ten that forgot God's promises and gave in to a bad report ...

they seemed like grasshoppers in their own eyes!

Not one of all the LORD's good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled. --Josh 21:45

Refuse to be discouraged!

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. --Deut 31:8

Be strong in the LORD
Rely only on His power, His direction and not your own

Refuse to be discouraged
Trust in the LORD and His word alone.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. --Eph 6:10

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. --Phil 4:13

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. --2 Chron 32:7

The following link provides a preliminary list of fulfilled prophecies by David Wilkerson from his book The Vision written in 1973. Irrefutable proof of this man's credibility.

Mr. Anonymous...

(Why are the ones who debate always anonymous???)

The BIBLE refutes that David Wilkereson is a True Prophet. I don't care about his "credibility" (def: the quality, capability, or power to elicit belief).

Both the OT & the NT warned about false prophets who would (and will) do signs, wonders, miracles, and correct future-telling.

But the Bible defines David Wilkerson as a False Prophet because of his failure to speak God's Word ONLY and 100% ACCURATELY. Only people who read the Bible aloud verbatim can meet these REQUIREMENTS which were laid out by God Himself.

So which God should I listen to? The God of the Bible that tells me to ignore Wilkerson or Wilkerson's words that fail that he claims are from God's lips?

By using the "his prophecies came to pass" argument for giving a prophet credibility the following could also be considered "credible" as true prophets.

Joseph Smith
Jim Jones
The Hopi Indians
Kim Clement
Ellen G White
The National Enquirer
etc, etc, etc,...

Some spoke for "the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob",... some did not.

Prophecies coming to pass DO NOT qualify a True Prophet! Adherence to and being proved by BIBLICAL REQUIREMENTS is the only way to rightly divide the true from the false.
