Went through your comments abour David Wilkerson.

I just wanted to add that to my surprise he has written the same warnign for food supply in his book called "God's plan to protect his people in the coming depression" and it is so strange cause he gives specific advices on food store suply and first aid medical thign ect...?!!!!!
Well I almsot belived it before when I received his warnign lately and almost made the msitake to focus on his words rather than on the Bible which is enough for every chirstian, but now I think is better to turn on the right way :JESUS

The Bible says he is a false prophet... and Wilkerson himself has said he has wondered if he was a false prophet as well, because of his failed words.

Very interesting article by Pastor Wilkerson. It is sobering but probably a very timely wakeup call to the Church and all Christians. In my opinion it is time to review our priorities and to “Seek First the Kingdom of God”...

It contains a very impressive (and sobering) list of Pastor Wilkerson’s 1973 prophecies with references from media reports that suggest possible “fulfillment”. That might answer your original question: "DAVID WILKERSON: Is this a true Word from God?"

I accept your thanks tho you are caustic and bitter sounding. We all have room to grow in Christ tho. No one has or knows it all as you seem to think you do (as your 6th comment indicates). Perhaps those who are scared by the Wilkerson warning are realizing they need to know God better.

The fact is that you misused the story of Joseph to make it fit Wilkerson's "prophecy"? I twisted nothing.

2)MY point was that NO... God was NOT loving and graceful to the false prophets. He said to ignore them. Or kill them if they turned his people away from Him to other Gods. Deuteronomy 13 & 18. (I'm not implying we are to kill anyone... that's a whole different lesson) New Testament teaching tells us to ignore them because we in the last days are spoken to through His Son, Jesus... no longer through the Old Testament-type of prophets who spoke in "times past". (Hebrews 1)

3)It IS loving to show people what the Bible (God) says versus what any man says in the name of God. I believe I am commanded to speak against the prophets who do not speak God's Words (like Ezekiel) (Ez 3:18-19), otherwise their blood is on my hands.

4)The point was that, like Wilkerson, Jim Jones did good deeds in the "name" of his idea of his "jesus" so good deeds do not a prophet make. I agree his jesus was not Jesus... and I agree that Wilkerson's IS... still not the point.

5)This word from Dave Wilkerson is something that (should not have) but HAS ALREADY sparked fear in many who love a god of their own making and in many who love God but do not yet understand that the Bible is ALL THEY NEED to be prepared for anything. (back to II Timothy 3)

6)I'm not sure what "seeking God in a deeper way" means because I am complete in Him and by His Word with nothing lacking. (Colossians 2:10, II Peter 1:3) I am prepared for anything that is to come because the Holy Spirit dwells within me... not because I listen to somebody telling me to store up 30 days worth of food.

Come see me again in a month or two or six and we'll discuss the events of the world that warranted this "Urgent Warning". Let the nukes fall and I'll still stand behind every word that I've typed here. I'll also be provided for, in whatever way God sees fit, even if He lets me die from starvation trusting Him instead of canned goods and military rations. He allowed the Apostles to be martyred. Your answer is not worth the energy it takes to reply in a defensive way. You seem to twist everything to fit whatever point you want to make.

Yes, God was loving and graceful to false prophets. However I am refering to the fact that he wants US to be loving and graceful to each other, even those we do not agree with or that hurt us. We can only do that in God's power as we are incapable of doing this on our own.

Jim Jones may have preached Jesus but it was not the real Jesus. Men and women have killed their own children in what they claim is the name of Jesus. Jesus is the Lamb God sent so we can know God and have God's love in us.

This word from Dave Wilkerson is not something that should spark fear in anyone who loves God. We can seek God in a deeper way and prepare ourselves for anything that is to come. No matter what happens God is there for those who love him and he brings deep joy.

No. Joseph was NOT told (by God or anyone else) to store up food. If anything, Joseph did what David Wilkerson did... He gave "advice" to Pharaoh to "store up food"... God NEVER said to do it. The difference between Joseph and David Wilkerson is that Pharoah's dream (from God) showed him specifically what would happen... and Joseph reacted to that. Wilkerson's "word" has shown him no specifics, except "1000 fires". (GOD'S WORDS TO THE PROPHETS WERE ALWAYS SPECIFIC, EVEN IF NOT FULLY UNDERSTOOD) When God wants us to react to His Word, He makes sure we CAN! If you want to parallel Wilkerson to that story, he would be the Pharaoh who had a dream, but no understanding. Joseph (the "man of God") had the specifics... WITH the benefit of not ever having been a "false prophet".

Nixon dumped the gold standard in 1971 -- ECONOMIC FAILURE is certain when NOTHING backs paper currency.

Roe Vs. Wade occurred in 1973... A nation that passes LEGAL MURDER is doomed.

It goes on and on...
I don't think I care to let "Family Guy" prove God's Word! But if one wanted to try, one could have likely "proven" pragmatically all that Wilkerson wrote in his book by watching "All in The Family" the same year he wrote it!

The Biblical requirements for a prophet are NOT that his "words" come true! But that ALL of his "Words from God", impressions from the Holy Spirit, messages from Jesus, god-given visions, etc COME TRUE AND LINE UP WITH SCRIPTURE.

I did not argue that Wilkerson doesn't preach Jesus, salvation and repentance. (But so did Jim Jones at one time, so we obviously can't use THAT evidence to say He's a "true prophet")

So "the Word of God" can rightly be only "at least respected?" Does the God of "Obedience is better than Sacrifice" change. Did he not REQUIRE that all of his Words to the Prophets be obeyed? My point is not that we are under OT requirements of the LAW, but that God never changes and IF GOD SPEAKS... HE REQUIRES THAT WE HEAR AND HEED HIS WORDS!

Sir...We ARE COMMANDED to "pick apart" or "test" any and all claimed prophecies or "Words from God" (I Thess 5:21) The only way to do that is using scripture which I have done. (II Tim 3:16-17)

EXTRA: I would also like to point out the CONFUSION and QUESTIONING (within the so-called "church") that brother Wilkerson's message has caused! Hundreds of hits to this page came from people asking GOOGLE if David Wilkerson is a false prophet!!! Why can't these same Christians rightly divide the truth by measuring Wilkerson's words to GOD'S WORD instead of Google's Word...? Let calamity and destruction come tomorrow and I will still say that Brother Wilkerson's prophecy is not Biblically God's Word because God's Word says to ignore him based on his past failed prophecies. Calamity is PROMISED in the Bible. Only God knows when. If you are IN CHRIST, you have no need of worrying about tomorrow. Call me a fool... but that's what the TRUE Word of God told me!
