I have left the charismatic church due to this whole thing. Thank goodness the bible is clear on what we should do in situations like this.. wherever there is a speck of teaching outside the bible people should run and run fast. it was a big eye opener and I am so glad i am out of it!

Thanks for marking the man as the word says to do. I believe the situation is worse than it appears. Todd has gotten tattoos with in the past two years and they, along with his New Age doctrines, worship of angels make it plain that Todd has taken a walk on the occult side.

HAving studied the occult and those involved, one notices certain nuances. Look at Todds countenence, his eyes in videos from two year ago and compare with his eyes and countenence at present.

I have seen this over and over and its inescapable. I can't help but see it.

Would Todd pee his pants if he realised that he was consorting with demons? Would those people who flock to the false signs and wonders that make up the audience, be filled with terror, if they understood that these angels of light were deceiving them? They want to harm humans, they do not have our best at heart. Of course they will use trickery, why not?

I listened to a wonderful talk by a very intelligent woman called Caryl Matriciano, as she described to Jan Markel some facts on evil angels and good angels, I was amazed!. She said in the interview at olivetreeviews.org in radio archives, that good angels only listen to God and do his bidding. So, they answer to Jesus and the Father and Spirit only and do what God has asked them or commanded them to do. That info is derived through basic analysis of the whole of scripture. Seh goes on to say that the fallen angels, however, thorugh various occult means can be contacted, though forbidden avenues forwarned of in God's holy Word, and when they are reached they are willing to do the bidding of humans- for a while.(For a purpose- to deceive.) That is why God says in Duet. and Isaiah and Revelation and so on, to be careful. We must not practice witch craft and a list of other occult contact means because we run the risk of supernatural Satanic counterfeit of the real thing, but simply put: deception.

She re-emphesized about 5 times that good angels do the bidding of their master, God Almighty with obediance, but that the fallen angels do the bidding of their master, THE Rebel, Lucifer/Satan. He seeks to keep man enshired in darkness, entertained into ignorance and most importantly of all: to keep man away from the cross, the only place the Adamic curse can be reversed; where man can be re-born and changed into a new creation, alive to God. The victory of eternity and salvation is won only through Jesus on the cross , his sacrafice. Repentance and trust and coming clean with God and being reborn through the last Adam, Jesus. Romans 5 and 1 Coringthians 15 talk about this. Churhes usually don't explain it this way, but that is what makes sense in total and how my bible reads. That is the whole reason that Nicodemus and Jesus have thier famous talk in John 4. Jesus said you must be reborn spiritually and the leader of the Jews did not understand and thought Jesus was saying physical rebirth. So he asked how rebirth is even possible and Jesus answers him that it is with the Holy Spirit; Spiritual rebirth leads to resurrection, spiritually first (then Paul tells us that latter we who are IN Christ, will be physically resurrected.) Romans tells us that we are being conformed to God's mind, which is in a sense like mentally being resurrected in our thought life as we study God's word and see what God thinks about life. The total resurrection, but it starts with the spirit first!The we are sanctified and our mind is resurrected as I said, ( in a sense)The one day, we will be physically raised to life. But we have to come not from the first Adam, but the second Adam, the life giving spirit, Jesus, God in human flesh, the do over, the human representative of the new creation of "faith". Alive IN Christ, literally and seated with him in heavenly places.Scollars talk about the process of salvation: The have been saved, am being saved and will ultimately be saved state that is characterized as the "Christian walk." That is what should be preached by Todd and friends, not angels and glitter.

These so called revivals are not about soley teaching sinners their is favor in the Son and his sacrafice. They are about playing around with spirits who have some power to captivate. This is so dangerous, b/c it seems like it is godly happenings, but in reality, it is falsehood that never gets to the point of the cross and repentatnce. So very dangerous to play around in the spiritual realm and that is why we are warned. 1 John warns us to test the spirits because it is not always so easy to tell what you are dealing with.

I find it sickening that a pastor or a group of pastors would lead their followers into such dangerous ground. Deception abounds adn we were warned, but some Christians and others want to see signs and wonders so badly, they don't even think that the source could be evil. They think that because it seems like the work of the Holy Spirit it must be, but that is why we have God's word on it and we are to test what is being said, and what the fruit is. As far as I can tell, I see Jesus being used on the surface as a prop to bring in $, but pushed aside for angels and the super natural to keep interest. Jesus said that only a wicked generation seeks after a sign, but that only one sign would be given and that was the cross and the resurrection. So, why aren't those two issues being hyper focused on? Answer: False prophets with familar spirits are running this thing, Not Jesus. The focus should be on the life giving power of the cross and Christ's blood. The life is in the blood, his blood. Who cares about this angel and that? Who cares about gold dust? Only eterity matters! That is what God's word says. And if a Christian does have God do some miracle or wonder through them, then that is to glorify the Father, edify the born again beleiver(s) or to draw an unbeleiver to the cross. It is not about making a pastor a name for himself, creating a show, or making money. It is definatly not about boosting the knowledge of angels for their sake! Somehow Jesus and what he accomplished have taken a back seat in this silliness. Thank God for good preachers that see the value in truth and the Bible!

False prophets will abound we are told! 1 Peter is like a sister book to that of Jude. REad them both! Simply put, read God's word to discern truth! He speaks of the latter times, and makes mention of how people will talk foolishly about angels with out true knowledge and strut like a peacock and head to their own destruction. This is the famous verse clouded with some mystery about how not even Michael the Arch Angel (in comparison to foolish humans,) would not even argue with Satan over the body of Moses, but instead said,:"The Lord rebuke you." The book of Jude is all about false prophets and the darkness hell reserved for them that was prepared in advance. We must pray that if it were possible, these false men repent and return to the saving Savor and his solid message, b/f it's too late. God Bless. lastly, while I beleive that God can and with his purposes may occasionally raise the dead even in this day and age, though rare, I do not beleive that Todd has the power to do that! He should tell people that people could be raised to new life spiritually and then eventually physically and that is God's promise to everyone in Jesus!

There are several reasons why this “revival” can not be God. Todd Bentley admits that he has an angel named Emma who appears as a beautiful woman who wears a dress like Katherine Kuhlman and floats off the ground when she walks. In fact he also claims to have the angel of William Branham and John G. Lake.

He regularly talks about seeing angels, and having them talk to him, minister to him and even perform surgery on him.
Although angels are biblical and without question do exist, there is NO BIBLICAL PRECIDENT for this type of interaction with them. There is also no biblical precedent for female angels. Although, angels are neither male nor female, they without exception appear as men in every biblical example. In every scriptural case of a human having contact with an angel the angel always says, “Fear Not”. There was a reason for this- in our mortal bodies seeing an angel would terrify the very bravest among us. The solders who were guarding the tomb of Jesus fainted when they saw the angel. However Todd Bentley and others like him would have us believe that angels appear to them daily and engage them in normal everyday conversation.
May I submit to you that Todd Bentley is not conversing with a HOLY angel but rather a demon, spirit of deception, or spirit guide? Interestingly enough, EMMA O is another name for Satan and is mentioned in the Satanic Bible. I am sure this fact is not lost on those who have come out of the occult.

What bothers me most about this Lakeland is the dog and pony show that is going on and that is NOT my LORD! Without faith, it is impossible to please God. These people are looking for signs and wonders and we know satan can give them just that along with the prosperity they are told that God wants them to have..but at what cost? I fear that it will be at the cost of their soul when they realize that the god they asked for all these things is the god of this world, not the LIVING GOD of the Bible.

I work in a ministry for those who have been abused. Many have felt rejected all of their life and many have been to things much like Lakeland and have come away scarred and leary of anything "religious" Many have told me that God can not forgive them and a few dozen had been within momements of suicide. But then....JESUS!

These are the signs and wonders GOD is speaking of...the wonder of a soul redeemed by the Blood of the LAMB. Almost everyone of these that felt that God could not love them instantly declared...GOD does love me...HE has forgiven me the moment they accepted Christ.

People need a Saviour...NOT a genie!

I checked Todd's website. I could not find a clear message of salvation that is easily found. The Shattered Men website has a link to it on every one of our pages. We get over 400 "hits" a month on it and I do pray that many are trusting the LORD from it. My only desire is to help those who are hurting to find the peace and joy that ONLY Jesus can give them.

God may heal. But that's not revival.

God may do miracles. But that's not revival.

When the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached, and when the bible is taught, and when men fall on their faces in sorrow for their sin, and when they are born again to a new life in Christ... then revival has taken place.

Until then it is what Bob Jones prophecied at Todd Bentley's "revival"... a "three-ring circus".

Pray for Todd Bentley. And pray for the thousands who are settling for an "outpouring" when they could have Life, Liberty and a true relationship with Jesus Christ.

How to have a revival

I can not tell you how much I WANT to see a revival in our land. I can not however accept just any "manifestation" of God as a revival. We CAN NOT have a revival based upon a dog and pony show. We need a SAVIOUR....not a genie!

What would a real revival consist of? I contend it will consist of a full and only focus on JESUS CHRIST. It will be more like what we saw from Billy Sunday, DL Moody and others who preached SIN and the only remedy for sin...THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHIRST!

I am fully convinced that a revival will consist of following
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land

It will spread to the LOST and I have not seen this in Lakeland.

It will consist of songs like...there is a fountain filled with BLOOD drawn from Immanuel's veins. Redeeming Love and grace will be the theme....the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ when one turns to HIM for forgiveness of their sin WITHOUT expecting anything but salvation in return. It will focus on the facts of the gospel and not the thrill of the feel.

It will be based only upon the Word of the Living God and not a message from an angel...any angel. It will be spontaneous and not planned. And it will only happen when each of US and mostly myself want it so much that we will follow HIS command and really obey the verse I gave above.

Also, Jesus said that Satan will not drive out demons from people because that will destroy him.

This is an example of taking scripture out of context. We are told to expose false teachers.

I also want to correct that last statement. Jesus did NOT say satan will not drive out demons because he does.

I believe Todd does signs and wonders. One of my friends went to his meeting and he prayed for a lady and a tumor fell off of her. I also believe he sees and communicates with angels. Does that make him a true prophet?

Back in the 90s when the Toronto blessing was happening and we attended the Vineyard church, my sons saw angels all the time. 1John4 says test the spirits whether they be of God and that if a spirit is of God it will confess that Jesus has come in the flesh.

So this is what we did: we said "in Jesus name I command you to tell me did Jesus come in the flesh?" to every angel we saw. And everytime it would tell the story of how Jesus would come in the flesh to earth, and die and be raised up after 3 days, and was now seated at the right hand of the Father.

Until, one day, we asked an angel and it shrunk and morphed into a little green demon! Lesson learned: not all angels/spirits are of God!!! This could explain why christians like Todd Bentley are going off the rails....

Matthew 24 says about false prophets that the elect would be deceived if such a thing were possible. Matthew 7 says that there would be false prophets in sheep's clothing (ie they will look like sheep) and that we would know they by their fruits. Come on you guys! Look at the fruit!!!

I have personally known a number of christians from various countries in Africa as well as Nepal and other countries. They have told me of the lying sugns and wonders of so-called medicine men and witch-doctors and shamen.

To say that practioners of false religious, even occult origins cannot perform healings, miracles, and other signs and wonders would be to say that the Bible lies. Just read the account of Moses demanding Pharoah to let the Israelites go and it confirms that there are real occult powers that can and DO signs.

Jesus as well told us that during the end times, there would be those who will do whatever they can to deceive the very elect of God.

Will the elect of God be deceived by someone claiming to be Jesus? Will the elect of God even listen to someone claiming to be a satanist, a witch, or some other false belief?

NOT!

The warning only becomes necessary IF among the TRUE believers, there arise those who claim to be followers of Christ but in reality follow another who is ANTI-CHRIST. (that does not mean THE anti-christ, but someone who is not Jesus Christ)

If any reading these words does not know there are REAL witches and warlocks, real practioners of some form of occultic belief that has REAL power that actually can perform "magic," heal, or even send curses, then once more, that person does not believe the Bible.

So why won't we believe Jesus?

Brothers and Sisters, this same deception has been upon this world since Adam and Eve. Only now, all of the demonic hoardes are actively attempting to do whatever they can to deceive the people of God.

If we do NOT LOVE THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH of the Bible, THEN GOD HIMSELF will send us a STRONG DELUSION to actually make us believe in the lie!

Now we can either believe what man has told us; men like Todd Bentley, Paul Cain, and others who have said and done things contrary to the Scriptures and God's ways, or we can believe the Bible.

The choice is ours. IF we choose to believe men, then we have already chosen NOT to believe in THE TRUTH and we may find ourselves as a recipient of this strong delusion from God and also end up being judged and condemned.

That is what the Bible says, despite all the things told to us that are contrary to this by those who preach this other gospel.

Honestly, the "Emma" stuff bothers
me quite a lot. Sounds very very suspect.

However, from what I've been hearing,
people are coming to faith in Jesus Christ
through the Lakeland Revival.
If people are truly coming to faith,
then aren't they going to the opposite
place as hell? Instead of "going to hell NOW"?

I think that when we get to heaven,
we'll in some cases be surprised
by who is there, and who isn't ...
Maybe some people ... perhaps

How can you justify that method in scripture... that is a TOTALLY unbiblical way of "testing all things"

Jack Hayford said we should be "slow to pass
judgment on things that are outside our purview" (our range of vision, insight, or understanding)

Our only true vision, insight, and understanding is the scripture and it is ALL that we need... (II Tim 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be COMPLETE, thoroughly equipped for EVERY good work.!

Nowhere in the bible does it say "Let whatever happens in the church happen and don't question it for awhile because even though it is not biblical it just might turn out to be of God."

Rather it says that we must test all things. Does Todd's stuff "cut straight" and fit with the Word of God? NO, and FAR FROM IT! (II Timothy 2:15)

Those in Berea searched the Scriptures daily, to see if what they were hearing was true to God's Word (Acts 17:11).

John and Peter both warned of false teachers. Jesus said they will come in sheep's clothing (Matt. 7:15; 1 Jno. 4:1; 2 Pet. 2:1) but that they are simply Christiany-looking wolves who devour sheep.

John said that it's our duty is to "test the spirits". (I John 4:1)

Paul said: "Test everything. Hold on to that which is good." (1 Thess. 5:21).

There is ONLY ONE place that we can go to KNOW if something is a move of God... Our SoF says the Bible is our supreme, final and ONLY authority in all matters of life, faith and practice.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)

All that we believe, teach and practice must be distilled from the Written Inspired Word of God and nothing should be accepted as true; nothing should be practiced or recommended – unless it is explicitly taught in the Word of God.

We already have the Word of God to help us discern that Todd Bentley is a false prophet and a heretic.

Testing this revival by time only sends people to deception and ultimately, hell.

The Desired Effect.

I find all of this very sad.
I am a born again Christian, and do I have anything to worry about this? No, not in the least. One thing I DO know, is that my Lord Jesus Christ as made a fool of all of these matters at the Cross where he died for me and for my sin. He defeated Satan, and there really was NOT any contest for Jesus Christ is Lord of all! He cried: 'It is finished!'
So the 'desired effect' of all that goes on against us, the Word of God, and the His church, is for the powers of darkness to discourage us and somehow convince us that we are powerless. Much to the contrary, our God is a God who keeps His promises. He is a good God, a loving God, a jealous God, a judging God, and a loving God. With Him there is 'No Shadow of Turning', in other words, God does NOT change His mind about sin! If one rejects the very provision of salvation from God, they are lost. How dare anyone deceive another in the name of Jesus Christ, convincing people that they can better themselves and that THAT is what they are supposed to strive for! Suffering is not a sin and God does NOT promise that we should be without suffering. In fact, if we are called christians, we share in our Lord Jesus Christ's suffering, whatever suffering is ours! If we are called christians, we do not live for ourselves, but we live for Him. We are co-crucified, co-buried, and co-resurrected with Jesus Christ. All of the benefits that we have in Christ are not deserved by us at ANY stage, but they are given to us because we believed in Him, and it is God who started the good work in you!
This comment from someone who is weary as ever about these kinds of movements i.e. Florida 'Revival' and Latter Rain, and such like. I have a brother who is getting led by this more and more, and needs a lot of prayer! (The heavy artillery of the christian)
